THE DRAWING PROCESS

Throughout the drawing process I can send you progress photos if requested to ensure that you're happy with the piece, starting with the basic composition through to completion. Upon completion, I can send you a final photo and the remaining balance is only paid when you are happy with the finished piece. If you would prefer not to receive progress photos and be surprised instead, just let me know!

SECURING YOUR BOOKING

Are you ready to secure your spot? First we must ensure you have a high-quality reference photo for me to work from (or an idea of what you're looking for to be able to source any necessary reference images)

Contact me via email (info@drawingsbyvi.com) or social media with your reference photos to get started. To secure your booking, I will send an invoice for a 50% non-refundable deposit to your email address, payment can be made via bank transfer or PayPal. Once the payment has been made, the commission is booked in for you from my next available date. I often get booked up months in advance, so if you have a special date in mind, I recommend you book as early as possible

REFERENCE PHOTOS

A good reference photo would be as high quality as possible, with detail (texture is visible when zooming in and it doesn't look too pixelated). Photos can be taken with a smartphone as long as it's focused with appropriate lighting. Natural lighting is best, I normally edit photos prior to working on them to update colouring and ensure appropriate levels of dark/light for the drawing. Try to avoid low light, subjects in motion, cropping, or at odd levels (above or below your subjects that could skew the perspective--unless this is the aesthetic you're going for in the piece)

TIMELINE

The timeline for custom artwork can vary depending on the complexity of the drawing, the size, and the number of subjects. It can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months or more to complete, so please book with as much notice as possible.

DELIVERY

Artwork comes flat and unframed (or carefully rolled in a shipping tube for larger sizes). Custom work outside the standard price chart/sizing will be evaluated as necessary and added to the final invoice.
